An Internet connection is required only for initial activation of the application on your tablet and to do SMS paging. If the SMS paging feature is not needed, an Internet connection is not required for normal usage of the core system.

Please note that a wireless network is still required for the tablets to communicate. However, the wireless network does not need Internet connectivity — a standalone Wi-Fi access point can be used.
